Jelena is a rising junior at Harvard studying History & Literature and Economics. As the daughter of two Yugoslavian refugees, she is interested in historical revisionism and contested memory politics in the Balkans. Jelena also studies development economics and finance, with a focus on income/wealth and racial inequality.
She is the Editor-in-Chief of Harvard’s Human Rights Review, Copy-Editing Chair of Harvard’s International Review, upcoming President of Harvard’s South Slavic Society, and member of Harvard’s Undergraduate Law Review and Model Congress. She plans on going to law school to study international criminal law or corporate law (focusing on corporate social responsibility).
