We are thrilled to share that Jan Devereux is joining the Cambridge Local First Advisory Board!
A two-term Cambridge City Councillor, Jan served as Vice Mayor in 2018-19. In her first term on the Council, Jan chaired the Economic Development Committee and convened a series of meetings to review the city’s Retail Strategy Plan to revitalize the small and independent retail sector. Throughout her time on the Council, Jan was a strong advocate for supporting independent businesses especially those facing challenges with rising rents in Harvard Square and prolonged sewer construction in Huron Village and Observatory Hill near where she lives. Jan has lived in Cambridge since 1993 and is the mother of three grown children. She earned a BA in English at Princeton University and an MBA in marketing at Columbia University.
